The concert features classics from the Concert Band Repertoire spanning the past 100 years. Band members suggested pieces which they had played in their school/college/university bands. These pieces have stood the test of time, as masterworks for Concert Band and remain favorites of Concert Band devotees. Titles from 100 years ago include: Second Suite in F by Gustave Holst, Sea Songs by Ralph Vaugh Williams and a Henry Fillmore transcription of the Light Cavalry Overture by Franz von Suppe, the king of the Operetta in the 1800s. Selections from more recent years include works by Frank Ticheli, Shenandoah; Steven Reineke, The Witch and the Saint and Ron Goodwin, Tall Ships.
