Tiana Wong will perform her final Graduate piano recital on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 7:30pm at the SOU Music Recital Hall.

About the Artist:

Tiana Wong is currently a graduate student at Southern Oregon University, majoring in piano performance under the tutelage of Dr. Alexander Tutunov. She is an Evans Family, Leon Mulling and Allan A. and Katherine M. Alsing Scholar. Ms. Wong received her bachelor’s degree from the Hong Kong Baptist University. Her principal piano teachers have been Amy Sze, Yoonie Han and Geneva Fung.

Ms. Wong is the winner of the Brookings Harbor Friends of Music Competition in 2022. She was selected to participate and play in master class with Vladimir Feltsman. Also, Ms. Wong was a finalist of the Memphis International Piano Competition. During her study, she has participated in masterclasses of Andrew Cooperstock, Bart van Oort, Andrew Parr, Amato-Landini Duo, Kevin Orr and Anthony de Mare. Besides, Tiana has performed in a range of works as a collaborative musician. She is the pianist for the SOU Wind ensemble, Rogue Valley Symphonic Band and Siskiyou Violins. Ms. Wong has performed in venues such as the Rogue Valley Manor and Mountain Meadows in the Oregon area, the SOU Recital Hall in Ashland and the HKBU Academic Community Hall in Hong Kong.

In August 2019, Wong took part in the Music Fest Perugia in Italy. She had the privilege to study with renowned pianists and has performed in the Marathon Recital at Sala dei Notari. In Summer 2022, Wong participated in the University of Florida International Piano Festival in Gainesville, on full scholarship, where she performed both solo and collaborative repertoire in recitals.
