Labor Day Weekend in Langlois: Live Music with Wolf Jett
The California-based band, Wolf Jett, bring their own brand of “Cosmic Mountain Music” to the Langlois Cheese Factory on Sunday, August 31. The evening concert, presented by Small n Dull Productions, opens with local guitarist Jeff Eikamp. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Wolf Jett’s original songs are an upbeat mix of soul, Americana, California country, honky-tonk, and west coast rock that are both soulful and uplifting. The band features vocals by Tennessee-born Chris Jones and groovy drumbeats by Jon Payne. Jones and Payne, who have been performing together since they were 12 years old, are joined by Duncan Shipton on bass, vocalist Allyson Makuch, electric guitarists Rory Cloud and/or Will Fourt, and occasionally Alex Benjamin on keys. The group are solid musicians who have accompanied other well-known artists from the San Francisco–Santa Cruz area, including the California Honeydrops, AJ Lee and Blue Summit, and the Mother Hips.
The Plate will be serving food, and beer and wine will be available for purchase during the show. The Langlois Cheese Factory is located just off the west side of Highway 101 at 94179 Allen Boice Drive in Langlois. Historically, the building was used for cheesemaking, but these days it is a venue for concerts, events, and private celebrations.
