Through October, the Shasta County Arts Council gallery at Old City Hall will host an exhibition entitled “Labels”. Funded by California Creative Corps grant program, the exhibition stems from work led by artists who spoke to the community on current social issues. Christine Mac Shane’s hope was to put together an exhibition and documentary that reminded us all that those faced with the hardships of life, like homelessness, are only a step away from ourselves.
The team spent several months providing art and writing workshops at the Jesus Center, Boys and Girls Club and Genesis Shelters in Butte County, while putting together the documentary and exhibit – “Labels”.

The screening of the documentary produced by Chris Smith will begin at 6:30pm
