The concert this year will Honor and Remember those who served during the Vietnam Era. SOCB will perform “Mekong” by Robert W. Smith’s moving tribute to the veterans of the Vietnam Era. We will also perform music from the era with chart toppers from Aretha Franklin and music of Woodstock. On the program is Warren Barker’s “In Praise of Freedom” remembering all who fight for and have fought for FREEDOM over the ages. Patriotic favorites on the program include America, the Beautiful, Star and Stipes Forever, and the Armed Forces Salute. Remembering those who gave their all fighting for Freedom we include Hymn to the Fallen by John Williams and Eternal Father Strong to Save arr. by Robert W. Smith.
