“Hearts in the Highlands,” Saturday, February 7th, a Robert Burns Celebration, features music by George and Anwyn Leverett as well as Robert Burns’ poetry read by Kris Wildman and others. This IRVAC [pronounced er-vac] event benefits free art and music in the Illinois Valley public schools and opens with a 20-minute talk by history professor Zita Worley. Gift Raffle and Haggis Tasting too! Light Refreshment provided and Potluck Dishes welcomed but not required. Admission is $5 to $20, sliding scale.
This Illinois River Valley Arts Council fundraiser is 1 to 4pm Saturday, February 7th, at I.V. Grange, 3763 Holland Loop Road, just east of Takilma Road intersection.
