At the top of the play, Danforth Comins' character is six years old. His mom is in the hospital, and he begins a list of everything that’s worth living for: 1. Ice cream. 2. Kung Fu movies. 3. Burning things. 4. Laughing so hard you shoot milk out your nose. 5. Construction cranes. He leaves the list on his mom's pillow. He knows she read it, because she’s corrected his spelling. The list then takes on a life of its own. Directed by Caroline Shaffer, this play explores the lengths we go for those we love. It demands we pay attention. To ourselves, to the person in the next seat, across the aisle and beyond, and to the small things that bring us joy.
