Join us for an eye-opening session with SoHumane and learn how you can be the reason a pet gets a second chance. Whether you’re a lifelong animal lover or simply curious, this is your opportunity to connect, contribute, and create change. From heartwarming rescue stories to hands-on ways to help—volunteering, fostering, adopting, or advocating—your presence matters.

Speaker Bio: With 10+ years of experience at SoHumane, Estrella Cervantes has dedicated her career to improving the lives of shelter animals through compassionate care, community engagement, progressive lifesaving strategies. In 2019, she earned a Maddie’s Fund Certification in the Feline Lifesaving Master Class, deepening her expertise in feline care and shelter programming. In 2025, Estrella earned her certification in Dog and Cat Lifesaving Fundamentals with the Southern Utah University. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Family and Animal Services, continuing to expand her knowledge and skills in animal welfare and nonprofit work.
