The North Bend Public Library is pleased to present Nic Gareiss and Simon Chrisman in Concert on Friday, March 1 at 7:00 PM. Chrisman and Gareiss have been collaborating and exploring sound and movement since meeting at a folk music festival in 2007. Chrisman is known for his unusual and innovative playing of the hammered dulcimer and has redefined the instrument's perception at a global level. Gareiss has been called "the most inventive and expressive step dancer on the scene" (Boston Herald). Together, Chrisman and Gareiss create a breathtaking evening-length performance of song, instrumental music, and percussive dance.
