An Evening of National Geographic Films and Stories with Filmmaker Kevin Peer

An Evening of National Geographic Films and Stories with Filmmaker Kevin Peer

Join former National Geographic filmmaker Kevin Peer for an evening of films and stories. Kevin will share "Way of the Wodaabe," about the last true cattle nomads of Africa, and "In the Spirit of Stradivarius," about a violin shop in Manhattan that buys, sells and restores the world's most valuable stringed instruments. Kevin will also share his 2021 film "Pristine Waters," about a remarkable area of lush forest and waterfalls hidden in the southern reaches of Josephine county that was nominated for Wild and Scenic River designation in 2023. This natural gem of Southern Oregon is under threat from clearcut logging, but an inspired campaign is underway to protect it.
