On Thursday, August 14 at 6:00 PM, the North Bend Public Library is thrilled to host Ashland author S. K. DeMarinis. DeMarinis will join us to discuss her latest historical fiction novel, Hidden in Haarlem, which is a fictionalized account based on the author's extensive interviews with a Dutch survivor of World War II. Her novel weaves wartime events, the stories she learned through her interviews, and added fictional elements together to bring the reader inside history and to highlight the heroism of the individuals who fought behind the scenes to bring an end to a horrific war.
