Environmental Law Conference Cancelled By Coronavirus Concerns

A law conference that has been held at the University of Oregon for 38 years has been cancelled due to concerns over coronavirus. The was set to take place this week.

But, the organizers announced today they felt the “rapidly developing situation with COVID-19 in the Pacific Northwest demanded a cautious response to protect the public welfare.”

The conference is an annual gathering place for attorneys and activists who work on environmental and climate justice issues at the U of O Law School. Famous attendees have included the tree-sitter and author Julia Butterfly Hill, Robert F. Kennedy Junior, and Wynona LaDuke.
