No Green Or Yellow, But Oregon's Uniforms Are 'Icy'

Nike unveiled Oregon's uniforms for the national championship game, and there's no trace of green or yellow.

Instead, the Ducks will take the field next Monday against Ohio State in white jerseys with silver accents and gray numbers.

Running back Royce Freeman called the jerseys "icy."

The Ducks, of course, are known for the countless uniforms they've been supplied by Beaverton, Oregon-based Nike, which was co-founded by Oregon alum Phil Knight.

Coach Mark Helfrich acknowledged Monday that he had not seen the uniforms — he's kind of got more pressing things on his plate right now.

"I love Royce so I'll go with icy," Helfrich said, laughing.
