We celebrate the major events of the Civil Rights movement for their accomplishments.

They occupy a spiritual/ethical space... but they also happened in specific places upon the Earth, places that can be visited. And a book is available to direct you to the important locations, called U.S. Civil Rights Trail: A Traveler's Guide to the People, Places, and Events that Made the Movement.

Journalist Deborah D. Douglas, who describes herself as a product of the great migration, assembled the guide. She visits with highlights of places to go and things to experience.
