The pandemic required a lot of people to spend a lot of time online. And if the Internet in your area is not so fast, time online is not quality time.

The Yurok Triberecently dedicated itself to providing high-speed broadband Internet service before the end of the year. One of the Congressional acts to provide relief from coronavirus problems, the CARES Act, provides the funding for Yurok Connect.

Jessica Engle is the IT Director for the tribe, and our guest. Forest James, CEO of the native-owned consulting firm EnerTribe, joins in.
