Republican challenger Art Robinson (L) and Democratic incumbent Peter DeFazio will face off in November for the Oregon 4th Congressional seat.

Republicans in southwest Oregon are hoping that “fifth time’s the charm” for candidate Art Robinson.

Robinson handily defeated four other Republican primary candidates to win the right to try -- again -- to unseat 16-term incumbent Democrat Peter DeFazio this fall in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District. Robinson ran unsuccessfully against DeFazio in the last four elections … Robinson is a biochemist and former chair of the Oregon Republican Party who operates a non-profit research laboratory in Cave Junction .

Meanwhile, Peter DeFazio easily defeated a Democratic challenger, winning more than 90 percent of the vote.
