Alan Journet

Dr. Alan Journet is a retired biology professor from Southeast Missouri State University who began producing a two-hour classical music program for public radio station KRCU in Cape Girardeau, Missouri in 1981.  He began sharing his love of classical music with a radio audience in the days of vinyl when he volunteered to help students with pronunciations of composers and compositions, but soon found himself on the air with his own program.

When he retired to Southern Oregon in 2010, Alan contacted JPR and was delighted to fill an opening on JPR's Classics and News Service.

Alan and his wife live in an energy efficient solar home in the Applegate Valley and serve as co-facilitators of Southern Oregon Climate Action Now.
