JPR invites you to the 3rd Annual Great Umpqua Food Truck Competition, Battle of the Bands, & Roseburg Hometown Fireworks, July 4th from 2-11pm at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Now in its third year, The Great Umpqua’s July 4 Food Truck Competition brings in more than 20,000 people to Roseburg's Douglas County Fairgrounds to enjoy dozens of food trucks from all over Oregon. Truck owners are not only filling the hungry bellies of event attendees, but are competing for top prizes: $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second, $2,500 for third, and a best local truck prize for $1,000! This year's panel of expert judges includes JPR's own Eric Teel.
The event kicks off at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 with a special VIP entrance hour. Free general admission starts at 3 p.m. Games and activities for the kids are also available while adults can refresh their palates with the local beer and wine selection. At 6:30 p.m., the Battle of the Bands competition commences giving six bands the chance to also snag some cash prizes by an audience clap-o-meter rating. The party ends with a bang around 10 p.m. with the Roseburg Hometown Fireworks.
