Siskiyou County Local Transportation Commission Partners with Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation
Alliance to Develop Countywide Active Transportation Plan and Host Open House

SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA — The Siskiyou County Local Transportation Commission is proud to announce
its collaboration with Alta Planning + Design, Inc, and the Siskiyou Outdoor Recreation Alliance to create a
comprehensive Active Transportation Plan (ATP) for the county. This initiative aims to identify and prioritize
active transportation infrastructure projects, programs, and policies that cater to the diverse needs of the
Siskiyou community.

The ATP will play a crucial role in enhancing walking, biking, and other non-motorized forms of
transportation throughout the county, promoting healthier lifestyles, reducing carbon emissions, and
fostering a more connected and sustainable community.

To ensure the plan accurately reflects the needs and desires of local residents, the Commission invites
members of the Siskiyou community to attend an open house event:
Active Transportation Plan Open House
Date: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
Time: 4:30 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
Location: Transit Center Conference Room, 190 Greenhorn Road, Yreka, CA 96097

At the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the project team, learn more about the ATP
development process, and provide valuable input that will shape the future of active transportation in
Siskiyou County.
