The use of E-Cigarettes, also known as vaping, is no longer allowed indoors in public places in Oregon. As of January 1 st, House Bill 2546, signed last year by Governor Kate Brown, also bans vaping in restaurants, bars, workplaces, and lounges specifically designed for E-Cigarette use.

In an article by the Register-Guard, E-Cigarette store owners expressed concern over the new law, saying without the ability to allow consumers to sample different flavors in the store, many may purchase e-liquid online at a cheaper price. The Oregon Health Authority does allow cigar bars to apply for permits allowing patrons to smoke inside. E-Cigarette use is now regulated as a non-cigar tobacco product.
