Comprised of singer/guitarist/brothers Robert Coles and Michael Coles, with bassist/vocalist Matthew Hall, Little Comets are an English indie rock trio from Jarrow and Washington, Tyne and Wear - near Newcastle, England. They are described as playing 'kitchen sink indie' music.

They visited JPR to play music from their album Life Is Elsewhere, and to talk about the somewhat bumpy road their career took on a major record label. In early 2009 the band were signed to Columbia Records, but due to some creative and legal differences, their debut album, In Search of Elusive Little Comets, wasn't released until 2011. After falling out with Columbia, it took them a couple of years to release their next album, the fantastic Life is Elsewhere

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
