Eugene Council Considers Climate

"Think globally, act locally" may get its biggest test in the realm of climate change. 

And local groups are indeed taking a number of approaches to the issue. 

In Eugene, young people presented the city council with a Climate Recovery Ordinance. 

The council recently directed city staff to prepare an ordinance, to be discussed at a public hearing in July. 

Our Children's Trust is a group advocating for climate action on behalf of young people; we hear from the group about the efforts in Eugene and elsewhere.
