June 20th is World Refugee Day, a day to think about the people who left their homes because they HAD to, seldom knowing where they would end up.

The world has been hard on refugees from the Syrian civil war, but that's not an isolated example.

Kristin Yarris at the University of Oregon has stories to share about the history of refugee treatment, as does Abby Gershenzon of the Refugee Resettlement Coalition of Lane County. They visit with historical insights and details of the day's observance in Eugene.
