Welcome to kindergarten, kid; here's your iPad.

We suspect the wording will be somewhat different, but that is the essence of what will happen this year in the Eagle Point School District.

The district is moving to full-day kindergarten when classes start next week.

And all 300 or so kindergartners will have regular access to iPads and similar devices as part of the learning process.

We visit with one of the district bosses to talk about rationale and expense.
