Fixing Up A Forest For The Long Term

Smoke rose from the hills above Ashland recently, and nobody got alarmed. 

Periodic controlled burns are among the features of the ongoing Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project (AFR).The idea is to manage the forest so that big UNcontrolled fires will not break out and threaten Ashland's water supply. 

We get an update on the project, and find out what remains before it's called complete.
