Schools with higher numbers of students from poor families frequently get additional financial support.

Plain and simple, education must be more intensive for children of poverty.  A change is underway in Oregon… a change in HOW poverty is calculated.

The state Department of Education must carry out the change, under orders from the legislature.

And it is possible that some school districts will get more money... while others will get less.
