Smoke Moves OSF Green Show Indoors For Streaming-Only Performances

The Green Show is a free outdoor performance that usually takes place on The Bricks Courtyard. But when the air is too smoky outside, OSF will move the performance indoors.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is bringing its popular Green Show indoors, at least when it’s too smoky outside to perform.

When a show is moved from the outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre to the indoor Mountain Avenue Theater at Ashland High School, then the Green Show will also be moved indoors for streaming-only performances.

The Green Show is a free performance that takes place Wednesday through Saturday just before OSF’s evening shows. It’s usually performed outdoors in a courtyard called The Bricks. While it draws a large crowd, it also takes place during the smokiest time of year.

When the Green Show is brought indoors, patrons with tickets to an OSF performance that evening can watch the livestream from the lobby of the theater their show is in. Other audiences who don't have tickets to plays that evening can watch the livestream from home.

When skies are clear and the Elizabethan performances haven't been moved to the Mountain Avenue Theater, then audiences can expect the Green Show to take place at The Bricks as usual.
