The duo pianists were in Ashland for a performance as part of the 10th Anniversary season of the Tutunov Piano Series at the Oregon Center for the Arts at SOU.

Cheng and Chow are both on the faculty of Oberlin College and Conservatory in Ohio. They've each performed as soloists with orchestras around the world, as recitalists, and and together as piano duo.

They joined us in the Steve Nelson performance space and played a few selections on our beautiful piano. They also talked about managing the intricate choreography required of four-hand piano music, and shared their thoughts on the relative health of the classical music world as they work with the next generation of performers and creators.
