Equally adept at both electric guitar and classical guitar, Jiji Kim is an avid consumer of music from all genres, and an active performer of newly commissioned works.
As a young girl, her dream was to become a rock guitarist, but her parents instead bought her a classical guitar. Her talent quickly shown through, accepting an invitation to the Korea National University of Arts at age 14. A year later, after meeting guitarist Jason Vieux, Jiji transferred to Cleveland Institute of Music.
