It's official: HSU is gone, and in its place stands CSPUH, standing for California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt.
The change rolls the Arcata campus into a family with the other Cal Poly schools in Pomona and San Luis, making it the first Cal Poly campus in Northern California.
The name change comes with a major expenditure by the state to add programs in STEM fields, fulfilling the polytechnic mission.
