Curious: Research Meets Radio - UO research illuminates divide over covid vaccines

Two researchers at University of Oregon studied who is or isn't getting vaccinated against Covid-19. They report it is mostly an urban rural divide.

The three most populous counties in Oregon have COVID vaccination rates above 78% for adults.

The least populated counties have much lower rates, down to roughly 45% for Lake County.

Recent research out of the University of Oregon used surveys to further confirm an urban-rural divide on getting vaccinated.

Benjamin Clark and Robert Parker at the UO Institute for Policy Research and Engagement also found that nearly three-quarters of people who resist vaccination say nothing could convince them.

We pore over the findings in this month's edition of Curious: Research Meets Radio, our joint venture with UO.
