Exchange Exemplar: a how-to guide for woman office-seekers

The announcements are coming one after the other now, people either announcing runs for office, or their retirements from politics.

We focus on the first group in a chat with Kate Black. She is half of the writing duo, with June Diane Raphael, of a book written to encourage more women to join the fun, Represent: The Woman’s Guide to Running for Office and Changing the World.

Woo-hoo, women in Congress are more numerous than ever. At 27 percent. The authors are determined to push that number higher, and they lay out a plan for running for any office, complete with checklists.

Kate visited in 2019, but the pathway is unchanged.
