QR Code Links To Help For Violence Victims In Jackson, Josephine Counties

People who are victims of domestic violence often have to be careful in seeking out help; reaching out could spark more violence.

That's why websites for domestic violence support programs often have quick-escape keys.

It's also why several Rogue Valley organizations are now linked to a QR code that victims of violence can scan to get connected with help instantly.

It links to Women's Crisis Support Team in Josephine County and Community Works in Jackson County. Misty Morningstar, a nurse with Josephine County, developed the program.

She joins us with a rep from partner AllCare Health to talk about the effort.
