Remembering The GMO Ban In Stories Of Southern Oregon

It is still technically illegal to grow genetically modified (GMO) crops in Jackson County. County voters passed a measure banning GMO in 2014, and the state legislature made sure no other county would have that power again.

Seed farmer Chris Hardy had a big hand in getting the measure to the ballot and on to victory. He is the focus of this month's Stories of Southern Oregon, collected by Maureen Flanagan Battistella.

Maureen and Chris sit down to talk about making history in agriculture, in a way no longer possible in Oregon.
