Summer time is digging time for archaeologists. With few or no classes to teach and the weather generally cooperative, it's an excellent time to dig (carefully) in the ground for clues to the past.
In this month's Underground History, our joint venture with the Southern Oregon University Laboratory of Anthropology (SOULA), we check in on the Oregon Chinese Diaspora Project.
This is frequent summer work for both Chelsea Rose at SOULA and Don Hann at the Malheur National Forest in Eastern Oregon.
Chelsea and Don return to the Exchange with an update on activities in several parts of Oregon.
