Yreka Shelter Offers Tips On Prepping Pets For Evacuation

Rescue Ranch in Yreka has gone completely to the dogs. That is the ranch's mission... to find permanent homes for dogs, and shelter them while they wait.

Rescue Ranch also has some experience in sheltering pets whose families have had to evacuate from wildfire, and offers training to pet owners in preparing for possible evacuation. That includes a big event on May Day, well ahead of June's National Pet Preparedness Month.

We get an overview of the kinds of things owners of animals both small and large should keep in mind when possible danger approaches.
