Some forms of art just can't wait for the pandemic to be over. The Ashland New Plays Festival usually convenes in the autumn, but it is putting a hot new work online this weekend (February 27 & 28).

Playwright Octavio Solis composed a pair of companion plays during and about the pandemic, "Lonesomes: Conrado and Paisley Blue." The play(s) are about a father and a daughter who are separated by lockdowns, travel restrictions, and history.

Octavio Solis returns to the JX to talk about the work, and his own COVID coping mechanisms.
