The main part of the annual Ashland Independent Film Festival is still a couple of months away. But AIFF is taking note of Black History Month by featuring a pair of films on the Black experience, a joint venture with Southern Oregon B.A.S.E. (Black Alliance and Social Empowerment).
The two documentaries are "Through the Night" and "17 Blocks," the second about the country's most dangerous neighborhood, just 17 blocks from the U.S. Capitol.
