How Area Museums Cope With COVID

Grants Pass Museum of Art is one of several venues offering virtual tours.

Think back to the first visit to a museum you ever made. Was it to a nearby museum with a group from school?

Those kinds of visits help keep museums in business... and right now there are no open schools and no visits. Museums can't last forever with virtual experiences only.

We get a sketch of the situation and the coping mechanisms with a group of local museum leaders. Todd Kepple runs the Klamath County Museums, and Katie Buesch heads the Clarke Historical Museum in Eureka.

The Klamath County Museum is open by appointment, in a sense. And the Clarke is waiting for Humboldt County to return to Red Tier restrictions, Purple Tier does not allow visits.
