Incarceration can crush the human spirit, but the human spirit has a way of persevering.
Case in point: the current art exhibition "Painting for Justice," which features the works of a dozen different artists. The artists have one basic thing in common: they are, or were, all locked up at San Quentin, perhaps California's most notorious prison.
The full title of the digital exhibition is "Meet Us Quickly: Painting for Justice from Prison." Prison Renaissance co-founder Emile DeWeaver joins us, along with Antwan "Banks" Williams, who created art for the show and who co-created a podcast, "Ear Hustle."
