Cal Fire

The Almeda Fire and its September companions are still very fresh in the minds of the people of our region. But even the fires of a few years ago remain vivid memories.

The project known as "Your Carr Fire Story: Written and Heard" brought the resources of the Shasta Arts Council and California Humanities into an effort to document the 2018 Carr Fire in the Redding area. People who escaped the fire got to write and tell their own stories.

Our final installment features Celeste White telling her story; coordinator Kimberly Carlson returns live to talk about the project and what it accomplished.
