The second of this fall's major political debates, between vice-presidential candidates, happens on Wednesday, October 7. It could not possibly be as aggressive and chaotic as the first presidential debate, but it's something we need to discuss on this month's edition of our media overview, Signals & Noise.

We welcome back our regulars, Chris Lucas from the Southern Oregon University Communication faculty and Humboldt State University Journalism Chair Victoria Sama. It's not all about politics in the media (though we could spend hours on that).
