The movie business is slowly coming back to life, but not soon enough for film festivals. They are still staying largely virtual affairs, with attendees watching the films from the comfort of their own homes and devices.
So it is with Varsity World Film Weeks, October 2nd through 15th. As the name points out, the films usually screen at the Varsity Theatre in Ashland. Not this year.
