Something about the Applegate Valley of Oregon produces wines similar to the Rhône Valley of France, famous for high-quality red wines. People who love the wine there and make it here even adopted a name for themselves: "O-Rhône-Gonians."

Nicole Schulte uses the term; she is an Assistant Winemaker and Partner at Quady North Winery, and this month's guest in Stories of Southern Oregon.

Maureen Flanagan Battistella compiles the stories for the Southern Oregon Digital Archive and accompanies the guests in our monthly visits.
