The last time we visited with Larry Tye about a book he'd written, it was about Robert Kennedy, and it included the revelation that Kennedy once worked for the infamous Senator Joseph McCarthy.

So maybe you can guess who Larry wrote about this time. Yep, the source of the term "McCarthyism" himself, the late senator from Wisconsin.

The fact that we still use the term is one of the points made in the book Demagogue: The Life and Long Shadow of Senator Joe McCarthy.

The author joins us for a third time to talk about this indelible--and reviled--figure from American history.
