Massive protests following the death of George Floyd have swept the nation, including in Medford in Southern Oregon.
April Ehrlich / JPR News

George Floyd's death at the hands of police happened in Minnesota. But for many Americans, it might as well have happened in the next town.

Anger was swift and widespread, and communities across the country rose in protest. Demonstrations took place in our region over the last weekend in May and into June; the feelings that produced them will linger for much longer.

We gather community activists for a discussion of the situation and possible pathways forward. Guests include Whitney Reed, Precious Edmonds from Dancing Hearts Consulting, Mandy Yeahpau from IllumiNative and the Native Organizers Alliance, and Michelle Glass from Rogue Action Center.
