Oregon Folklife Network and the process of preserving culture

OFN October Exhibit: Magic in Midieval Europe

If people don't sing the songs, the songs disappear.

It has happened a lot through human history; songs, stories, and entire languages have been lost to time.

The Oregon Folklife Network swims against that current by giving support to folk artists, or culture keepers. OFN is looking to expand the roster of culture keepers around the state.

Riki Saltzman, an OFN Folklore Specialist, visits with details of the work.
