The Restrictions That Come With Extreme Fire Danger

The arrows ticked further to the right this week, as fire danger in Jackson and Josephine Counties moved up to Extreme.

It's not a surprise, given the long hot spell on top of a long dry spell, with fires already burning in the region. But it does mean concerns bump up a level, and permitted activities bump down. That's true in rural areas and in cities.

Joe Hyatt is the Fire Marshal in Grants Pass. He stops by to talk about activities that are curtailed or outright banned by the raising of the fire danger level.
