Oregon Nurses Association Pushes For More Attention To Mental Health

One of the breakthroughs in the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was a set of provisions elevating the status of mental health care, putting it more on par with care of the body.

There's still plenty of ground to cover, both in societal attitudes and in services available to people who need mental health attention. Oregon Nurses Association makes the case that staffing needs to be increased, and not just among nurses.

ONA members Adara Lanning and Tonsina Wells, both of whom work at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, join us with details of mental health challenges and possible solutions.
