Substance Abuse Treatment Through The Pandemic

oasis .jpg

The pandemic interfered with life, plain and simple. There are many things we can do at home alone, but not everything.

The kind of energy that comes from meeting face-to-face, singly and in groups, can't be duplicated by Zoom. So it's been hard for people working to break a cycle of substance abuse to get the help they need, since the process is dependent on having other people close at hand.

Oasis Center of the Rogue Valley works to support parents with substance abuse disorders. Dr. Kerri Hecox is a co-founder and our guest, explaining how Oasis worked to reach people through isolation.
